Clutter and disorganization steal your time. You may not believe me, but if you’re spending time looking for things, rebuying things you already own but can’t find, or clearing a space to work on something- your clutter is stealing your time. Konmari decluttering might look like a waste of time to some, but the time it saves you, in the long run, is well worth it. This method of decluttering is aupposed to be done quickly and all at once.

Money
Ok… hear me out on this one. Decluttering can aeel like you are literally throwing money away. I know. I go through so many emotions when I am purging items that are newer, not broken, or barely used. From the outside (or from my husband’s view at times) decluttering can feel downright wasteful. But, I know in my heart that keeping a pair of jeans that make me feel fat isn’t going to make me wear them. And, keeping a breadmaker that I have never used isn’t going to make me a baker. It’s just not true.
Purging and decluttering can teach you about your spending, and your wasting and stop you from making the same mistakes in the future. Here are a few articles to read about money and clutter that might just influence you to declutter with me:

Lead By Example
I have teens. I know… thank you for your support. Here’s the thing about teens – they don’t listen. They watch, observe, make fun of, and comment and maybe they implement a little of what you do that makes sense to them, but they don’t listen. I can talk to them for days about decluttering, but until they see it or feel it, they don’t care…at all. This year I want to live fully what I preach and that means a deep dive. Marie Kondo has a theory that you shouldn’t ralk about your decluttering. You should do it and your family will follow. Ok, Marie, let’s see!
