Declutter Bathroom Products Using These 3 Tips
1. Gather ALL Bathroom Products in One Place.
Use laundry baskets to gather all of your products and bring them to the kitchen table or a central area of your house. Make sure you get EVERYTHING. This includes medicines, shampoos, lotions, toothpastes, first aide supplies, etc. I suggest moving the items without really alerting your family. I have found that I get a lot more help when I just start moving. Making an announcement that I will be purging all the bathroom products in the house will be followed by whining and complaining.
2. Purge and Organize Products By Category
This is when your family will most likely start to get curious. My entire family was shocked to see how many bathroom products we owned and they were eager to comment on their items. They were quick to complain about bad hair products and smelly deodorants and as they complained, I sorted. I sorted the items by family member and by category and moved unwanted items to a pile to be dealt with later. I also purged ALL expired medicines and products. And, again I added needed items to a list. I ordered the new replacements after I completed the entire project.
3. Put Items Back In An Organized Manner
When you purge all of your items down to the bare minimum and you have a complete list of what you need to buy it’s time to put everything back! Your products should be much more manageable now. And, you should put things away where your family can easily find them. When I finished organizing, I made sure to show everyone where they could find their extra products like hand soap and shampoos. It’s important to include them in the organizing. No more complaining that they don’t know where something is!
